This portable DVCAM recorder can be mounted on the Polecam boom in place of the Polecam monitor to enable high quality portable recording. Power for the recorder can be taken from the Polecam auxiliary power supply on the interface unit with an S-Video signal taken direct from the camera CCU. This is a DVCAM recorder (not miniDV) and according to some engineers is better than Beta SP but not as good as DigiBeta.
