The GoalCam system consists of Toshiba one piece single chip CMOS cameras outputting 1080i or 720p (switchable) with full HD-SDI output 1920 x 1080 pixels at 50/59.94 frames per second. These great little cameras are fitted with special Theia Ultra Wide Angle, low distortion lenses to capture incredible in goal action.

 |

The GoalCam lenses are 1.3mm, 5 MegaPixel items with 125° horizontal field of view and less than 1% barrel distortion delivering stunning image quality.
The GoalCams are located within specially designed housings available in either traditional White or carbon Fibre effect Black. The cameras are attached to remote operated iris control motor blocks and the whole assembly is fitted inside the housing upside down (the lenses we use invert the image therefore this corrects that feature).
The GoalCam brackets are designed to fix to goal net tapes or ropes and feature additional fixing points for particularly bad weather conditions. They are designed in such a way as to deflect when struck (by a ball or player) and quickly realign afterwards.

StadiumCam
The StadiumCam lens is an incredible FishEye with 170° angle of view enabling whole stadium shots from a static position. The design of the lens means we have to specially modify the Toshiba cameras to be able to use it.

The StadiumCam has an overall weight of only 234 grammes / 8 ¼ ounces therefore it is very easy to mount securely and unobtrusively. It’s a great favourite with Health & Safety people too!

The cameras are controlled by a Polecam Remote Control Panel that can control up to five cameras and is slim enough to only take up ¼ of a rack width which is a real benefit for the guys in the OB van. The cameras use standard data/power cables and standard BNC signal cables with the RCP being able to operate them from as far as 1500 metres away.
