Stuart Nichols of Emagine Productions has used his Polecam on two jobs recently. The first was used for the promotional video for the new Sheffield Train station. Stuart said "The Polecam worked amazingly well showing off the new architecture and following our key characters through the station"



For the second shoot Stuart was commissioned by the BBC to shoot some Polecam footage for a BBC Live Events promotional DVD during the World Cup. "I was sent up to Hull to get some shots of the crowds gathered around the big screens the BBC provide. BBC Sport liked the footage so much they took a live feed from me that could be used for crowd reactions during the game."

The Iconix HD-RH1 was used at the World Cup this year by Aerial Camera Systems in Godalming, UK. Matt Coyde from ACS said "The cameras were fitted in to special mounts at the back corner of the official FIFA goalnet (camera side) to provide the 'in goal' camera shot with two sets provided for every game of the World Cup 2006. The Iconix cameras were fitted with Fuji 1/3 inch 2.8mm lenses and utilised the Polecam RCP camera control system to enable the pictures to be matched to the other cameras from the OB. Picture Transmission and control were transmitted over single mode fibre utilising Telecast POV systems from the camera positions to the OB outside the stadium."



Nikkos Mistriotis from XYZ Productions in Greece sent us these photos from some recent shoots he has done including Red Bull and tracking from the back of a Truck. Check out the shot below of the snake that dropped from the ceiling of one of the farm buildings during a shoot for a reality TV show called "The Farm".












Shooting the latest video for Saints of Eden in the Cardington Airship Hangars the Polecam was used to great effect to add production value at a very affordable price. This was primarily due to the fact that the Polecam could be moved very quickly and easily throughout the structure of the building as the video was shot partly up in the gantry of the massive airship hangar.

This is TVE using their Polecam for the opening of the new airport terminal in Madrid Spain. TVE are the main national broadcaster in Spain and took delivery of their Polecam in Summer 2005.



Showing us that you never know where you will be shooting next is Mak Vejzovic, our first Polecam owner in Croatia. Using the Polecam with the harness and securing himself to the structure Mak must have got some astounding footage. Excellent stuff.
